“Being a part of this dance family since my daughter started at Denville Dance Arts Center, 5 years ago, has been a one-of-a-kind experience! Cara Prester was the heart of this dance studio and went above and beyond for the dancers and families and her business continues to thrive after 66 wonderful years! Cara was the biggest cheerleader of her little ladies and encouraged my daughter to audition for Company at a young age after she had competed as a “Little Star” for 3 years. Cara was determined to not only have these girls learn to be beautiful dancers, but she taught them life skills and respect for each other and everyone they came in contact with. She even has a special “buddy” program where the girls are partnered up with an older dancer and they bond with them and cheer them on throughout the year…many of these friendships lasting a lifetime!
Now this year we had a great loss when Ms. Cara gained her wings dancing in heaven, however, our new director has been trained by Ms. Cara and so many of the wonderful traditions, beautiful dancing instruction, and professionalism are living on in this studio through the direction and guidance of Alyssa Magnusen! Alyssa and Sarah Ryan kept our girls going throughout this dance season and we are looking forward to the excitement of what the future holds for Denville Dance Arts Center under the new direction of Ms. Alyssa!
A little love can go a long way in the lives of these young dancers and this dance studio is the epitome of connectivity, elegance, kindness, and love shared during some very difficult times! We are so proud to call Denville Dance Arts Center our home away from home.” -Zenya and Daari Daniels
