Jon Merced

has been trained by some of the best in the industry such as Jared Grimes, Marty Dew, and Derrick Schrader to name a few. Jon performed professionally with many up-and-coming artists before realizing teaching was his calling. Jonathan has over 15 years of teaching experience where he pushes his students to blossom into artists who are unique and true to themselves. Jon has won many accolades for his choreography with various studios at regional and national competitions. In addition to teaching in studio settings, Jon has had the opportunity to teach overseas in South America and work with College Dance Programs across the United States. Jon has judged at regional and national competitions where he has also taught convention classes and choreographed opening number routines at Nationals. Jon is a co-owner of the JDAgency with Drew James. JDAgency hosts intensives and master classes where Jon and Drew teach dancers to be self-sufficient artists who are versatile dancers ready to work in the commercial dance industry. JDAgency teaches dancers valuable lessons such as how to market themselves, how to handle an audition and how to perform in front of a camera. Jon’s agency, JDA, prides itself on quality over everything.
